MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY - Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN Maliki) Malang held a Workshop on Outcome Based Education (OBE) Curriculum and University Courses. The event took place over two days on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, and Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The first day of the event was held on the 5th floor of the Rectorate Building, Campus 1.
The event was opened with a speech by the Head of the Event Implementation, the Head of the Administration, Academic, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Bureau (AAKK) of UIN Malang, Ita Hidayatus Sholihah, S.Ag., M.M. She stated that this agenda was carried out to fulfill the mandate of the Rector of UIN Maliki. “This activity is based on the mandate from the Rector. So how can we realize those achievements,” she said.
The Head of AAKK, as the Event Implementation Chair, also emphasized the objectives of this activity. To strengthen the understanding of the academic community regarding the implementation of the OBE-based curriculum. To develop integrated courses and university education guidelines that align with global developments.
"More than that, to harmonize perceptions among academic units and develop the university curriculum and formulate action plans for the implementation of the OBE curriculum for all study programs," briefly stated the Event Implementation Chair.
The Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. H. Triyo Supriyatno, M.Ag, in his speech added that a vision can be realized if the goals are aligned, even though each institution has its own perspectives.
This workshop is expected to become an effective coordination space for leaders, deans, and all parties involved. At the same time, it ensures the implementation of the curriculum that is in line with the work direction.
In the end, the Head of AAKK hopes for a positive impact on the academic environment from this activity.
