MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY - Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) Malang has again made achievements on the international stage by being included in the rankings 101–150 in the world in the field of Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026. These results show the strengthening of UIN Malang's position as an Islamic university that continues to develop and is increasingly recognized at the global level.
Rector of UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. Hj. Ilfi Nur Diana, M.Si, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this achievement. He assessed that this success was the result of the institution's continuous efforts to build a strong academic culture, improve the quality of research, and present Islamic education that is internationally competitive.
"Alhamdulillah, this is an achievement to be grateful for and proud of. This achievement shows that the hard work of the entire academic community in building scientific integrity, strengthening Islamic values, and providing quality education has produced real results," said Prof. Ilfi, Tuesday (31/3/2026).
He added that global recognition from the QS World University Rankings is not only interpreted as an achievement, but also as a mandate to continue to improve the quality of the institution. "We must use this as an encouragement. In the midst of global competition, UIN Malang must continue to move forward, work and present the best contribution to the people, nation and the international world," he continued.
Prof. Ilfi also invited the entire academic community, including lecturers, students and education staff, to maintain these achievements by improving the quality of learning and research. "Let's strengthen our efforts together, improve the quality of learning and research, and continue to make UIN Malang proud at the global level," he concluded.
This achievement further strengthens UIN Malang's reputation as an Islamic university that is able to compete at the world level and become an international reference in the development of religious studies and Islamic scholarship.
