MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY-Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang has once again strengthened its partnership relations with members of the press through friendship activities and breaking the fast together which was held on Monday, March 16 2026. This activity which took place at Ocean Garden Resto Malang was attended directly by the Deputy Chancellor for Cooperation and Development of the Institute, Prof. Dr. H. M. Abdul Hamid, MA and Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. H. Triyo Supriyatno, M.Pd and UIN Malang Public Relations Coordinator H. M. Anwar Firdausy, M.Ag.
A warm and family atmosphere was felt from the start of the event. A total of 15 media crew from various platforms attended the invitation. Several media that were present included the East Java Times, Times Indonesia, Jatim Satu News, Malang Posco Media, Malang Live, Malang Post, Seruling Media, Indonesia Online, Ketik.com, Jawa Pos Radar Malang, and Sonora.
On this occasion, WR IV UIN Malang said that this friendship activity was an important momentum to strengthen relations between the campus and the media. According to him, the media has a strategic role in conveying various campus achievements, programs and developments to the wider community.
"We really appreciate the role of the media which has been a strategic partner in disseminating information and various campus achievements to the public," said Prof. Hamid
Through this activity, UIN Malang hopes that synergy with members of the press can continue to be well established. Apart from being a gathering place in the holy month of Ramadan, this meeting is also a space for casual dialogue between campus leaders and journalists to strengthen collaboration in disseminating constructive information.
The activity ended with breaking the fast together which took place in an intimate and together atmosphere, marking a joint commitment to continue to build harmonious communication between the academic world and the media.
