MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY - Efforts to develop science and technology in the agricultural sector have been strengthened again through research collaboration between UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and BRMP Aneka Kacang Kendalpayak. This activity was carried out at the Research Center located in Kendalpayak, Malang, on Monday (30/3).
This collaboration is focused on research on various bean plants with the aim of increasing productivity, quality of harvests, and plant resistance to various stresses, both biotic and abiotic. Both institutions play an active role through data exchange, utilization of laboratory facilities and experimental fields, as well as the involvement of competent human resources in their fields.
In this collaboration, BRMP Aneka Kacang Kendalpayak plays a strategic role, especially in providing superior genetic material, technical assistance, and validating research results at the field level. Meanwhile, UIN Malang also contributes to the development of scientific concepts and research-based technological innovation.
One of the main focuses of the research raised is entitled "Biosynthesis of Zn Nanoparticles of Azadirachta Indica as a Nanofertilizer and Nanopepticide in Food and Horticultural Crops." This research explores the use of nanotechnology to create fertilizers and pesticides that are more effective, environmentally friendly and sustainable.
Through this synergy, it is hoped that applicable technological innovations will emerge that not only support academic development, but also have a real impact on the welfare of farmers and strengthen national food security. Apart from that, this collaboration is a strategic step in expanding research networks and increasing institutional capacity in facing future agricultural challenges.
