MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY – The Student Executive Council (DEMA) of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang was officially inaugurated on Thursday, March 5 2026. The inauguration procession took place at the Rectorate Building on the 5th floor of UIN Malang and was led directly by the Chancellor of UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. Hj. Ilfi Nur Diana, M.Sc., CAHRM., CRMP.
In his speech, Prof. Ilfi Nur Diana emphasized the importance for DEMA administrators to prioritize the interests of the organization above personal and group interests. He also emphasized that students who are members of the organization must continue to uphold academic and moral values in carrying out their mandate.
In addition, Prof. Ilfi also highlighted the importance of communication in the success of an organization. According to him, the various programs and media that have been provided will not run optimally without good communication between members of the organization and with campus leaders.
"One of the most important things in an organization is communication. We can use media, but everything will be blocked if there is no good communication," he stressed.

He also added that social media has an important role in supporting student organization activities. Therefore, it is hoped that the media developed by SEMA, DEMA and UKM can be utilized optimally to convey information and establish effective communication.
Campus leadership, he continued, always opens up communication space for students. It is hoped that this can be used by organizational administrators to dialogue and collaborate for the sake of campus progress.
In response to this, the DEMA and SEMA administrators who were present compactly expressed their readiness to carry out the organization's mandate with full responsibility.
The inauguration event closed with a group photo session between the university leadership and the Student Executive Council administrators as a symbol of the start of the new management which is expected to be able to bring a spirit of collaboration and better communication within the UIN Malang environment.
