MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY–Special Advisor to the President for Hajj and alumnus of IAIN Malang in 1978, Prof. Dr. H. Muhadjir Effendy, M.A.P., delivered a reflection in a series of Halal Bihalal activities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang which was held at the Ar Rahim Building, Floor 3, Campus 3, Tuesday, March 31 2026.

In his speech, Prof. Muhadjir appreciated the increasingly superior development of UIN Maliki Malang, but reminded the campus not to be careless about competition. "Even though UIN is now good and superior, don't forget that we are also competing with private universities," said Prof. Muhadjir.

Prof. Muhadjir also remembers IAIN Malang's time as a space for dreams and competition to grow. "IAIN in the past was a place to build dreams, because we had fierce competition, both academically and organizationally," he said. According to Prof. Muhadjir, this tradition needs to continue to be maintained as a campus strength.

Furthermore, Prof. Muhadjir emphasized the importance of courage in conveying ideas. "If UIN has an idea, show it, because it will become a fossil discovery for years to come," he stressed.

Prof. Muhadjir also emphasized that the environment has a big role in determining success. "Everything depends on the environment. If the environment is good, it will create good things too. In fact, 70 percent of success is determined by a good atmosphere," concluded Prof. Muhadjir.
