Reflection on the Qur'an Khotmil and Breaking the Fast Together, Strengthening Historical Traces and Hope for the Future

MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY - The activity of Reflecting on the Holy Qur'an and Breaking the Fast Together which was held on Thursday, February 26 2026 at the Arrahim Building, 3rd Floor, took place with great solemnity and togetherness. A total of 212 leaders attended this activity, from the first rector to the current leadership, showing the strong ties and solidity in building the campus.

This momentum is not just about breaking the fast together, but also a space for reflection on the long journey of campus. The Chancellors shared stories of struggles during their tenure, dynamics and gradual processes that shaped the campus to what it is today. Chancellor of UIN Malang Prof. Dr. Imam Suprayogo said that the history of the development of UIN Malang was a source of inspiration and enthusiasm to continue moving forward.

In his delivery, the second chancellor, Prof. Mudjia Rahardjo, M.Sc. emphasized the importance of learning from history. "We have to learn from history. That's where we take our enthusiasm to advance this campus. It is possible that we can create the largest Islamic campus in the world. Seeing the enthusiasm of the current Chancellor of UIN Malang, it is very possible for us to achieve this dream together," he said.

Meanwhile, the third Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abd. Haris, M. Ag also emphasized that history is important as proof that the development of UIN Malang to become the best campus is the service of previous leaders. "This campus is developing according to the planned roadmap," he stressed

This activity emphasizes that the main strength of campus lies in unity, the same vision, and shared commitment. With the collective spirit of all leaders and academics, the big dream of making the campus even more superior and global is not impossible. Let's make these big hopes and ideals come true together.
